yankee doodle day

Well I would have liked to have celebrated "Baby's 1st Fourth" by having a dinner picnic and watching fireworks, but unfortunately we couldn't do that this year. Joe was busy with doctoral work so Hannah and I played at home. It was a lazy day. And it's not like Hannah would have remembered the fireworks anyway. Or, she might have gotten scared. But anyhow, maybe we'll try next year...

We did have some nice family time in the couple days before. Friday, we went to Brunswick/St. Simons to have lunch, shop at Target and play on the beach for a little while. The weather wasn't great, but Hannah got to play in the sand and at least we didn't have to worry about sunburn! The cute patriotic bathing attire came from Grandma - complete with a cover-up (like what could she possibly need to cover up?).

On Saturday, Hannah's Gran Gran and Poppy (my in-laws) came down to play.

Being a good girl...eating my peas and sweet potatoes!

Playing in the giraffe pool!

Here's a picture of Hannah after church on Sunday.

Happy Fourth of July!!!
