about

I'm Lindsey.

I am a wife, a mom, and a child of God. There is nothing I value more than my faith and family. I am a preacher's wife and a designer. I am a southern girl from Savannah, married to my best friend, and making our home in a parsonage.

I have a bachelors in management from Georgia Tech and a Master of Arts degree in Interior Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design. I studied abroad in college and count that as one of the best experiences of my life. I've also been fortunate enough to travel to some amazing places, both in this country and around the world. Right now I stay at home with my children, ages 2 and 4. They keep me busy and (most of the time) I love it. I do some design work on the side.

My family runs a non-profit organization called Operation Hungry Child. My mom writes children's books which benefit childhood hunger through SpenserNation, an OHC initiative. I dream of going on mission trips. I have a passion for helping others.

I like running, going for walks with the kids, and practicing yoga. I also love being outside and just sitting on the back porch swing. I always have a house project going on...and am a little obsessed about organizing things. I am constantly decorating, designing, and creating...if only in my mind. I appreciate beauty and find it in things both man- and God-made.

I am a dreamer. I am inspired by kind people, beautiful places, and thoughtful words. I am also inspired by good design, photography, and anything that gets my attention on Pinterest. I love the beach, sunrises, fabrics and natural textures, the color blue, antique and vintage finds, and anything monogrammed. I love taking pictures. My favorite subjects are the people in my house.

I love parties, dinner dates, lunch with friends, and taking trips with my honey. I love oyster roasts, football, and country music. I like using fine china and crystal, even when it's not a special occasion. I probably could not live without coffee. I love a glass of wine at the end of the day. I am a foodie, but my husband does the cooking. He's very good at it. I do almost none, though I am starting to do more. I like the Food Network and tearing recipes out of magazines. Laundry doesn't bother me that much. Cleaning bathrooms does...and ironing. But I adore cute children's clothes, those new and passed down.

I love to read. I also love to write. I keep a journal, and spend a lot of time writing on this blog. Sometimes it feels like a chore, but at the end of the day it is so worth it. I like to post pictures and write about my favorite people, places, and things...and whatever else is on my mind. This blog is a way to chronicle our journey through life as well as share and connect with others.
