Lots of football watching and cheering for our teams: Navy, Georgia Tech and Auburn.
War Eagle!!
That same cute cheerleader busted her chin while chasing friends around outside the church.
Our friend, a nurse practitioner, glued it back together and she was all better.
We enjoyed all the beautiful colors as the leaves changed.
This is a tree in our frontyard, right outside the office window. The leaves are a cranberry red - beautiful. Unfortunately, it didn't stay that way for long. I took this picture with my phone and four days later, as Joe was wrapping Christmas lights around that very tree, this was the scene:
We had had lots of wind and rain. It's been a weird fall-to-winter here. Nights below freezing where you have to cover the plants, and then within days temperatures in the 70s. And everywhere in between. Lately we've had a lot of gloomy days...
As Thanksgiving was so late this year, Hannah got good wear out of her turkey dresses.
We started decorating for Christmas...
...and then headed to Savannah for several days. We stayed at Gran Gran and Poppy's, spent time with family, and met Uncle Will Will and Aunt Crystal's new puppy, Cooper:
Joseph and Poppy, Liam and Hannah
Joseph was focused and very enthusiastic with the shower squeegee.
Uncle Ben and Joseph on the piano
Both kids were on breathing treatments over Thanksgiving. Hannah had walking pneumonia, and Joseph had a sinus infection with a bad cough. Not exactly an ideal way to spend the holiday!
Fun with cousins at the mall
Hannah, Lyndsey and Jasper
Hannah got to see Santa Claus and made sure he knew she wanted a bike.
It was cold out on Moon River, but Hannah was eager to go out on the dock. So we bundled up and headed out.
Saturday came and we headed back to Sandersville. The quiet car was nice.
We had to hurry home to cheer on the Yellow Jackets and Tigers!
Both good games. One win and one loss.
We brought Chloe, my 12-year-old Yorkie, home with us. She's been living the past 2 1/2 years with my mom in Savannah. She's been given lots of attention, as Hannah and Joseph are almost a little overbearing in their loving.
And just like that, it was December.
We are preparing the way, having a bunch of little conversations about Christmas, manger scenes, and Jesus. Hannah has been my little helper.
For the first time in a loooong time, Hannah ran outside to meet her daddy as he was cooling down from a short run one morning last week.
And that gets me to this past weekend. Catching up still to do...
Are those neck pillows for both Hannah and Joseph in the car??? Where did you get them? We really need one for Emma!
ReplyDeleteHey Michelle - Yes, those are kid-sized neck pillows. Hannah's puppy was a gift. I think it's a Gund. Joseph's is a crocheted giraffe by Maison Chic. I bought his at a local store.
